Abstract: This paper examines global networks for e-learning networks, with particular interest on the characteristics of the structures adopted by African countries to participate in the new educational strategy, and how these structures are moderated by Africa's peculiar social and political characteristics. The paper looks at the challenges and opportunities that e-learning networks face in Africa, and then finally suggests how the challenges can be met, in addition to also how the opportunities can be utilized.
